We hope after viewing this blog you feel more comfortable jumping right in and attending one of our fun activities or general meetings! Don't hesitate; we were all newcomers once!

Membership Information


Women who are new or established residents of Greater Winston Salem are welcome to attend two meetings or activities before deciding about joining the club. A good first visit is our monthly general meeting where the focus is welcoming
visitors. We also feature local speakers and discuss club business.

For more detailed information on our activity/interest groups, meetings, and socials, or if you’re thinking about joining and have questions, please contact our Membership Manager, Pat Titus, at 336-771-4422 or wsnewcomers@gmail.com.

Our yearly dues are $35.

Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors: Volunteered at the information & author's booths, speaker venues, and delivered posters

Hawley House: Provided dinner and played bingo with the residents—gift bags were presented as the prizes

Salvation Army: Gave donations for teenagers so they would have something at Christmas

2016-2017

Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors: Volunteered at the information booth, children's book area, author's party, delivered posters, and took authors to schools

Hawley House: Provided dinner and played bingo with the residents—gift bags were presented as the prizes

Habitat for Humanity: Prepared lunch for visiting college students

Second Harvest Empty Bowls: Helped at the auction table, unloaded pottery bowls for the display and wrapped bowls for the guests

Betty and Jim Holmes Food Bank Garden: Picked ripe vegetables from the garden

Salvation Army: Gave donations for teenagers so they would have something at Christmas

2014-2016

Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors: Volunteered at the information booth, children's book area, author's party, delivered posters, and took authors to schools

State Employees Credit Union Hospitality House: Provided dinner and entertainment

Salvation Army: Gave donations so teenagers would have something at Christmas and assisted with holiday packing at the warehouse

Senior Services/Williams Adult Day Center: Visited with clients

Habitat for Humanity: Provided a dinner for students visiting for the collegiate challenge

GreeNest: Sorted, organized, and placed home goods to be selected by clients
