Starting an Evening Card/Game Group!!

A member has volunteered to chair such a group in the club's new year!

May 2: Komen Race for the Cure at Salem College.  Our team name is "Newcomers & Neighbors"

May 21: Annual Spring Luncheon at Big Shotz Tavern (Clemmons location) to honor our outgoing board members and chairpersons and install our new officers!  

Please Note:  May's general meeting is cancelled due to the Spring Luncheon.

4th: Wine Group 7:30pm

6th: Book Group 10am

Book Group will meet in Diane P's home in Clemmons.  The book to be discussed is RUN by Ann Patchett & THREE CUPS OF COFFEE by Greg Mortensen & David Oliver Relin.  Please RSVP to her at 766-0242.   The book for May is REVOLUTIONARY ROAD by Richard Yates.

9th: Bridge Group 12:30pm

Bridge Group will play at Sylvia H's home in W-S.  Please carpool if able as parking is limited.  RSVP to her at 768 8656

16th:  Lunch Bunch 11:30am

Lunch Bunch will gather at the "4th Street Filling Station" (871 W. 4th St) in W-S.  Directions can be obtained from the restaurant: 724 7600.  Please RSVP to Holly L at 940 2159 by April 15th

28th: General Mtg 10am

Our speaker for April's meeting will be Elaine Strug, a member of UNC's School of the Arts volunteer group.  She's a native of W-S and alumni of WFU and UNC, as well as former professor at UNC, Salem College, and WSSU.  She'll be telling us about the various programs at the UNC's School of the Arts.   We will also be voting on the proposed slate of officers for the 2009-2010 club year!  We meet at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1416 Bolton Street. No need to RSVP! Refreshments will be served.  All are welcome!!

DINNER GROUP: Will not be meeting in April.

21st:  Annual "Casino Night" Group Social (guest welcome)

It's one of our most popular social events of the year will be held at Margee & Dave N's home. 

Games to be played will include: roulette, blackjack, craps, TX holdem' and more. 

We'll conclude the night with drawing for great door prizes! 

Each player is asked to ante up $5 in return for plenty of funny money to play with. 

Also, please bring an appetizer to share and (if you like something stronger to drink) please 

bring your own adult beverage, marked with your name.
