We will meet at An Original By You, 2727 Reynolda Road, ( phone 722-3500), for some ceramic painting. Join us and paint your own Memory Plate, coffee cup, soup bowl, figurine or holiday ornament. “Originals” provides the bisque and all other needed materials. Plan to pay a small fee for the use of paints, and kiln firing, plus the cost of supplies. Creative ideas are free! Items can be picked up at the studio one week after painting. And don’t forget, they make great holiday gifts.

12th: OKTOBERFEST from 2-6pm
Join us for Oktoberfest! The cost of admission is $7.00 per person for the brats and beer. Also, please bring an appetizer or side dish to share. We will have Bocce and
Corn Hole tossing as well as a canoe and kayaks to cruise the lake. This event

Our book will be "The Maltese Falcon" by Dashiell Hammett. The Maltese Falcon has been selected as this year’s choice for On The Same Page, Forsyth County Library’s common book read for the city. We will meet at the home of Barbara M in Winston-Salem. In addition to discussing the book, we will listen to a brief excerpt (5 –10 minutes) of the original 1941 radio broadcast of the story featuring Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor. 28th: General Meeting @ 10am
This month's meeting will feature a panel of theater representatives! We'll hear about some of the rich theatrical offerings available in Winston-Salem, the "city of arts and innovation". Panel members will give us a little background about their particular group and respective venues. They will also preview their upcoming seasons so we can mark our calendars now.
Our general meetings are held at Trinity Presbyterian Church (1416 Bolton Street in W-S) just off Silas Creek Parkway via the Bolton Street Exit. The meeting will also include an update on activities and board decisions, as well as our 50-50 raffle, coffee and conversation. Join us for an enjoyable and informative morning . . . and bring another newcomer! All residents of W-S are welcome to attend! Visitors may attend two meetings or activities before making a decision to join the club.
