GENERAL MEETING - MARCH 26 at 10 A.M.

General Meetings are a time to welcome visitors, hear guest speakers and discuss club business. All residents of Greater Winston-Salem are invited to join us. General Meetings are held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1416 Bolton Street (just off Silas Creek Parkway via the Bolton Street exit) at 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, except August and December.

Speaker:   Chris Jordan, Director of Programming, New Winston Museum, 723 S. Marshall St., W-S 27101

The New Winston Museum is the community museum for Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, with the mission to preserve the history of the area.  It was officially opened in May 2012 with an exhibit called Every Picture Tells Our Story, a pictorial representation of Winston-Salem history through photography.  The Museum is now presenting the Salon Series which aims to bring a wide-range of community leaders from academics, artists and activists to lead discussions on a variety of topics.  The Museum is open Tuesday to Friday, 2 to 5 p.m.  Web site:  http://www.newwinston.org/site/ .  Mr. Jordan is a native of Charlotte, earned a Masters Degree in Museum Studies from UNC-Greensboro, and has lived in Winston-Salem since 2007.
